Tuition and Fees

For individuals applying for the entire program there is a non-refundable application fee of $5.00 is due upon applying to the program. Some courses require the purchase of kits which contain essential items for the successful completion of the course. In some cases the kits are included in the cost of the tuition for that particular course.

Individuals taking one course at a time may decide to later seek the Certification in Professional Rootwork (C.P.R.) credential. When this is the case, the student must pay the $5.00 nonrefundable application fee, complete the admission process and submit the required paperwork. The paperwork will be reviewed and then a decision will be made as to whether or not we feel you are a good fit for the credential. The decision will be based in part on your participation in classes up to the point of applying for the credential, as well as your application materials. If you are accepted into the program, credit will be given for the courses taken and successfully completed. You will still be responsible for paying for the certification fee of $2500.00, though you will be given a discount based on the courses you have already taken. Speak to admissions to discuss your personal situation.

TUITION FEES
The total cost for certification is $2500.00. This includes the cost for 2 comprehensive core courses, 4 specialized courses, Ethics Intensive training and a final exam. It does not include the application fee. Payment arrangements are available. Note that students obtaining the required 120 face to face hours may incur additional charges by the provider/teacher/rootworker for attending workshops or apprenticeship fees. This has nothing to do with Crossroads University and we receive no kickbacks for any workshops or training given by an approved provider. Students are responsible for paying these additional fees. See our Network of Approved Practitioners.

* Tuition cost does not include the cost of supplies (unless indicated for that particular course) and will vary from course to course.

APPLICATION FEE
There is a $5.00 nonrefundable application fee that must be paid at the time of submitting your paperwork.

SCHOLARSHIPS
The Bonnie Clark Ruiter Scholarship is available for individual courses for those unable to pay due to financial hardship. Bonnie was one of our first students and passed away before she completed. She was a dedicated and enthusiastic student and the scholarship is our way of keeping her memory alive. Speak to admissions if this is something you are in need of. Scholarships are limited.

The Dr. Buzzard Memorial Scholarship was founded in honor of the life and legacy of Dr. Buzzard of South Carolina. The scholarship is made possible through the generous donation of Reverend Carolina Dean of Carolina Conjure© and in conjunction with Crossroads University. The scholarship is awarded twice a year. Details for this scholarship will be posted when the scholarship is available.

WORK STUDY
There are two work study positions available at all times. Students who are participating in the work study will be able to work in exchange for taking classes at no cost. These students are expected to function as University Liaisons and to conduct themselves in a professional and helpful manner. Responsibilities will vary and will be tailored to capitalize on each student's personal strengths so as to set the student up for success. It is possible to participate in a work study position for the entire time of enrollment with Crossroads University and to obtain the C.P.R. credential in this fashion.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Class materials are on a secure portion of this website, accessible only to full time students who have paid their tuition in full or who are scholarship recipients. Individuals who sign up for individual courses will receive course materials via email.

If you don't want to enroll in the program and only want to take a couple of courses, that is not a problem. Should you decide to later pursue the certification, you will receive credit for the courses you have taken, so long as you formally apply and are accepted upon review of your application materials.  Your participation in the courses will be a large determining factor as well. You will incur additional charges for the certification above the cost of what you have already paid for the courses you have taken. Contact admissions to discuss your individual situation.
