All courses consist of several learning modules and are self-paced. Classes are located and live classes take place twice a week on our private Facebook group for Crossroads University Students.
Students are strongly encouraged to attend the live sessions. These sessions are designed to be an open forum to discuss assigned readings, fieldwork, and experiential exercises. Students are expected to participate in class discussions, either through responses to the assigned readings, or through the introduction of new material gained via field or personal experience, through ancillary readings, chat sessions and the forums here for full-time students.
Participation in all courses requires signing a confidentiality agreement. The purpose of the confidentiality agreement is twofold: 1) it protects your identity and the identity of other students and requires you to keep in confidence anything that is discussed and the identity of class members; and 2) you MUST agree to not share or sell the contents of the course, downloaded materials, discussions or anything else. This course and everything it is made of is protected by intellectual property laws and is registered with the United States Federal Copyright Office. Violators will be pursued to the most unpleasant extent of mundane and spiritual laws and is grounds for immediate expulsion from the program and class.
Where indicated, course materials are available through Medicines and Curios and a link is provided where the materials may be purchased. Books and other supplies may be purchased through Ritual Witch or Amazon.com.
The entire cost for the C.P.R. credential is $2500.00. This includes the cost for 6 courses (2 comprehensive Foundations courses and 4 specialize courses), an Ethics intensive, course materials where indicated and a final exam. You must pay in full to get the reduced rate. Find Tuition information here.
Please note there is an application process you must go through before being admitted to the program. We do not allow "click and pay" for the certification; you must contact enrollment, complete the application paperwork, and if we find you are a good fit for us, we will then discuss payment. Our program requires active participation and getting your hands dirty. You will be required to dig up your own roots, visit graveyards at night and meet the "Black Man" at the crossroads. There is a lot of reading to do on the history of the African Diaspora and you will learn about African and Native American cosmologies, divination systems, healing systems, and formularies, among other things. Our program is built upon the foundation of Ancestor reverence as opposed to commercial Hoodoo marketeering. We are not an easy program or a correspondence course and you will be making a long term commitment to learning with us. We develop caring, close relationships with our students, and you receive the benefit of learning under initiated Elders in a variety of African-derived and Native American traditions. We also have a mentorship program as well to guide you on your way to a successful conjure education.
Individuals who wish to take just one or two courses may do so on the courses page. This is often the best way to start and find out if you like what we have to offer.
